All the appropriations bill will be dealt by the new Democratic Congress in Jan-Feb (CR expires Feb 15). Immigratio Relief provisions can be attached to these bills...i believe there is widespread support for these among both Democrats and most Republicans

I have dealt all options with my employer ...
They will give me "Employer Letter" ASAP but i have to sign a letter that i'll work with them for 1 year after getting 485 approval.
What does it mean - Indirectly i have to work with them till 485 approval ( which could be 3 yrs easily) plus another 1 year ??

Got receipt notice for I-485/AP/EAD/ from USCIS today (8/30/2007). My package was delivered to Nebraska center on July/27/2007. Notice date is August 21st, 2007. My priority date is Dec/23rd/2003.

I think it will be smooth. Landing by road is easier than by air. You need to do the following as soon as you have landed. I recommend you land early in the morning as gov. offices are closed at noon:
1. Locate an HR office and get your SIN number. This will take 30 min to an hour once you are there. You will need to show your Passport and COPR document as a proof.
2. Locate the medical insurance office and obtain your medical insurance card.
3. Go to the post office and obtain a PO box.
4. Open a bank account. Use the PO box address as mailing addres.

My husband's EAD was approved last week. I filed both the EADs (for me and him) together in July (Receipt Date: July 30th). My application has no LUD so far. His EAD was approved last week. This is just weird. When both the applications were filed together why look at one and not look at the other?

as gc28262 has indicated, that proper analysis and the correct interpretation of the law is needed to change such matters. Unless, EB3 people come out of the lethargic content/self pity and start working on the issues as if their life depended on it (it does) - just writing to the senators and representatives will not help. The legislative offices is not going to do the analysis (in the time that matters to us) and address it to the USCIS. However, if we do the ground work and then approach them, we may have a better chance of succeeding.
Whenever EB3 asks for writing to senators and congressmen, EB2 folks will discourage, but when Eb2 wants to write to the same group everyone encourages.
Why is this pathetic response to a Eb3 guy.
