Application sent on July 19th to NSC and was recieved on July 20th. Checks not cashed yet, and ofcourse no receipt numbers yet.

We all morons wont still learn, we will still start prediting for next visa bulletin hoping that a reincarnation of god will ome and deliver us visa numbers.
Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post we all people are busy to get our post noted or express our opinion that we have lost our fous of what our main problem is. I think we deserve this perhaps I dont think if we continue like this we even deserve GCs.

Setting up company is just the first step for Self-Employment. The key things is to demonstrate that new job is in same/similar classification and company has offered "bonafide" job, not just job on paper.
BTW, it is not necessary to have LLC. The corporate structure could be S-Corp or C-Corp also.

Having said that, even if any one chose to self employment, they must have very proper documents including long-term contract agreement with few clients, that explanis the service you provide shold be in-line with orginal I-140 job duties. In current H1B denial rate becuse of client letters RFE, the self employed AC21 cases shold be more prepared, in case of RFE.

just correct me if i am wrong. I am totally new to this thing...i really admire people who have been waiting patiently this long for gc. I would say all IV participants as heros. really appreciate their actions. my priority date is jan 2006 eb3 india. I was looking at the visa bulletein from 1995..they hve this trend of backlogging and making dates current every 2 to 2.5 years. does this mean namecheck has been causing so much of backlogs?just want to know what is happening.

I think it is fair to go by EB level than priority date. Usually the levels mean qualifications. I think they deserve to get GC first! That makes more sense to me.

My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.
I just called national customer service center for my 485 receipts and the lady told that nebraska filers should still wait for 30 more days before they call for receipt updates...she said she was answering the same question since this morning and mentioned that it could still take atleast 30 days for nebraska center to register the applications...
when I asked her if she knew whether my case has been transferred to TSC already (since my 140 got approved from TSC), she said she wouldn't know that answer...her bottom line was to wait...
what a mess!!!!!
if any one has called the customer service today regarding the receipts, I would appreciate if you could please post the responses here.

Mehul, After reading your post, I feel very bad for what you are going through and my heart goes out to you and your family. I know nothing of what I say is enough to help you but again, I still say it with the hope that things will turn around for you. GOD HAS HIS WAYS, AND HE IS THE ULTIMATE FORCE IN THIS WORLD. I have often wondered, the chase we chase. The reality is nothing else matters but HIM yet it is so difficult to accept this reality and we chase the materialistic things in him which at the end, every one of us writing here and reading is going to leave behind one day.
GOD IS KIND, HE WILL LOOK AFTER YOU. PRAY TO HIM, SINCERELY. I suggest you take all the treatments there is and Don't worry you will come out of this. He will protect you and many prayers come your way. I will definitely pray for you and your family.
Nothing else matters. As per your question, I think consulting your lawyer and then working with him to meet a senator or congressmen to help expedite your case may prove helpful. Both of you can work together so you have a backing. And like someone earlier posts said, make sure your finances are strong and have a family backing in US.

I got my receipts by mail on monday and checks cashed last friday. But my wifes did not clear yet. any one in similar situation please post.
My one set of checks cleared last friday & other set yet to be cleared. That might be for me or wife, no idea. So I'm waiting.
How are you so sure that your case checks were cashed & not your wife's just curious.

I think the above statement is correct. There are 1000s of EB3 I folks in IV and they could have very well contributed a quarter or even a million bucks. My question is, what will happen after that?

Visa number assignment is a classical queuing case that can be solved even by a newborn who fires a projectile pee without warning.
and yes as long as we are all stating what we want..
I want three parle-g biscuits with garma garam chai.
It would be more effective if not effecient. You need not wait until the year end to issue visas, visas can be issued using a mathematical model which would allow old PD filers to get a visa ahead of others as soon as his case comes in and other criterias are fullfilled. Basically no one needs to wait for filing I485. People with old PD will get visa numbers first as soon as they enter the application.

I have a electronic mail from them with the 140 receipt Notice (as PDF)
from USCIS.. I took the LIN number from there and Queries USCIS - they says USCIS received my App on May 15th and under processing....
I took a Print out of that 140 receipt Notice and will attach with 485 Application... My approval will not come before Jan-Feb 2008.
But don't you need copy of 140 also?
Canda is not the only option.You can tell them that u r resigning.In that case u might not win but atleast he will loose everything.So might be he will ready.
