What you did was wrong.
Coming to the verification process, They would ask if this employee really worked at the employer location and the responsibilities. They would not ask wether the EVL submitted was indeed issued by the employer.

I worked for a firm for last couple of years and then moved to another firm. Now I want to apply for a Perm process and need the Experience letter. My previous employer has issued me the experience letter without my roles and responsibility:
It was an unprotected word file, so I changed it and incorporated the roles and responsibilty and my self submitted it to my employer; Now i am afraid if they are going to verify it.

So, I can go find another employer since I have my EAD and my 485 is filed for more than 180 days. Now, if my 140 is approved, no problem. If, however, my 140 gets an RFE or if my 140 is not too strong, I can find out alternatives including (but not limited to :-)) finding a decent job in my home country while I still have a job here in the US.
Is it logical or should I go take a nap? :p

If you read clearly then it says that you can keep the PD in your new employer GC process. You may loose that opportunity only if there was a fraud in the previous I140 and USICS revokes that I140.
once the alien’s Form I-140 petition has been approved, the alien beneficiary retains his or her priority date as established by the filing of the labor certification for any future Form I-140 petitions, unless the previously approved Form I-140 petition has been revoked because of fraud or willful misrepresentation.
So if your current I140 is clean then you will be able to use the PD in your next application for GC with the new employer.

Even if the amount is just $4000, if he win the case you will have to pay his lawyer fee too. I would suggest you to resolve this by giving the actual reason. He cannot bind her to the job for 4 years.
You can talk and resolve. Most of the time if you pay back the filing fee, employers will be fine. no one want to go to court.

Normally there should be a LUD on 485 after FP is done (same day/next)..
Gurus:
I don't see any LUD after my FP in November. My RD for 485 is July 02 1007.
However there was LUD on my approved I-40 in December 2007 (140 was approved in September 2006).
What could it mean possibly?

Last 2 years of college I was working full time in my field and going to school full time.
How did you work full time during college for 2 years? Unless you had an off-campus work permit I wouldn't even tell Immigration about that 'experience'.
And AFAIK you have to earn the bachelor's first and then count the years of experience.

Folks, wanted to share the feedback from my immigration attorney, the attorney office which did my h1b, h4, eb3 etc, it is a pretty big firm and has good reputation.
The attorney clearly told me, that as long as there is no salary and if it is volunteering then we can go ahead whether it is profit making or non-profit it does not matter.
Now im still confused what do i do......
to be on safer side i may suggest going for non-profit org.

Why am i not surprised at USCIS ineffcieny. I made a similar enquory through my congresswoman and they got the response that my PD is Feb 2007 and there are no VISA's available where as my I40 approval notice and PERM laber certification approval shows as Feb 16th 2006.
Stopped by again at the congreswoman office with my I140 approval notice that shows my PD as Feb 16th 2006 (EB2).
Second instance where USCIS has some knuckle heads looking at cases is when i field a SR on July12th about my I485 to which i got a response that they cannot find my approved I140 in their system and told me to call back with the receipt number. Now when i call back they refused to take my receipt number as its not been 30 days of my SR and in order for them to take my receipt number they need to open another case and can do it only after 30 days.
Absolutely no accountability! I have mailed Ombudsman with all the replies i got from USCIS and hoping that my case is adjudicated properly.

Is premium processing for I-140 back again??. I know that the premium processing for I-140 was suspended due to the expectations that there will be lot of I-485 applications during july. BUT now that they have made the dates unavailable.. IS PREMIUM PROCESSING FOR I-140 REINSTATED?? ANYBODY HAVE ANY UPDATES ON THIS !!!

Get a letter from your USA office on their letter head that you will be in USA to do just business discussion, and stay will be very short.
Show them that you have strong tie-up's back in India (family/house/properties/relatives etc).
Tell them you have to continue your job in India after the business discussions in USA.
Also show visa officer that you will not get paid in USA (no pay roll); business expenses are covered by company.

But is there a risk that if you work at client site and doesn't have a PO for at least 6 months then in that case the H1 extension may get denied ?
