My Wife's & my AP expires on 11/16/2008 and she is coming back to the States from India on Sep 9th 2008, I'm assuming her I94 would be only issued till 11/16/2008. We are then planning to apply for EAD/AP renewal , that is, after Sep 9th 2008 and my question is what is she doesn't get her renewed AP approved before 11/16/2007 (which again I'm assuming would be the date on I94 valifity) and would that make her out of status? I hope this helps

When I was in DC sometime last year saw a group of people standing in front of the capitol building holding signs that circumcision is cruel!!....
I am proposing that we atleast 50-100 members who can go to DC on a weekday morning, preferably Monday, should stand in that area, with signs highligting our problems, so all senators/congresspersons can see us, I guess that place is specifically for demonstrators, .....we can start from DC on Monday afternoon to our place.
But we need help from DC locals to get permissions...and send a copy of the permissions to all those who plan to attend....
Any date before August 15 will be too early I think, we shoud have enough time to plan to organize this....even 50-100 people would be good....we can take the entire family with kids and stand there for 2-4 hrs.....

I had one more idea....how about we put all the material , not only issues related to Jul 2, but all our issues, create an excellent coloured PDF version, write to CD, label it and send the CD too all senators/congress persons/Governors/lt.governers/President/etc etc...we should send this CD to atleast 1000 people and atleast 500 media contacts....
CDs being cheap, it should not cost much except for mailing it and we have some great talent in IV in writing the material.....
Nowadays CEOs/Politicians are so used to presentations etc...so CDs might help

I did not land yet. Planning to give away canada PR. Its too much of risk being on AP/EAD. I have too many things on stake in US like Home, Nice Jobs for me and my wife..don't want to risk all that.
As it is i don't think I will ever settle in Canada, i had applied at a time when my US labor was stuck in backlog for almost 5 years but now things have changed and if i ever have to leave US I think I will go back to my home country; as it is after being here for 8 years I don't have energy to start all over again in some new country.
What have you decided? do you know the procedure to get landing fee back?

Per my lawyer,
1. USCIS does not mandate that you must inform when you invoke AC21. You can inform them if and when you get RFE.
2. I strongly believe that we should not accept job offers that is not related to the job you originally applied for. My lawyer says it is usually vague and if USCIS determines other wise I will be in trouble. And for the same reason I am hesitant to accept very good employee offer from my current client.
3. Self employment is ok as long as the requirements are met and that is what is I am doing now.
You are not informing USCIS about it .
So just just accept employment from another employer ..just change the job or is there any paperwork involded like transfer of any documents or GC processing ?

Cancelled 4 tickets and lost 1000 bucks. Was to fly on 6th. Never expected dates will move. MY PD Nov 2001 EB3 India.
Hoping to get receipts by 20th. Is that a fair assumption? Planning to re-book for 22nd.
Don't want to lose another dime on cancellations and re-bookings.
Advice and share your thoughts.

I am EB3, and i know we EB3 are screwed , and EB2 are luckier than us.
There is no need to fight,
If we dont get the GC , we can go back home(for me home is india) .... believe me home is not so bad( even after the blasts) Just enjoy your time here, live for the moment.
I work for an employer , whom i value more than EB2 , so i dont want to port to EB2(Even when i filed for EB3 , i was eligible for EB2 , But my lawyers assistant , just wanted to play safe) Everyone has his own preferences.
I think this is a post , for the EB3 to crib , and talk (humans feel good after doing that) so let us do that.

I mailed my 2nd application (1st one was mailed in late June my attorney filed too soon as I was not current in June) on Aug 14th and it was received at NSC on the morning of the 15th. I 140 filed at TSC and was approved in July 2006. No checks cashed and No Receipt as of yet....

So you basically want a piece of the discussion no matter you are involved in it or not. The OP asked for advice/opinion, and I had the right to respond because it is �asked�. You can do all you want and be as blunt. USCIS doesn't have to answer to you. Stop chanting the "HIGHLY SKILLED", paying all taxes, nonsense. You were not brought to the USA at gun point. You chose to come (and stay). The USA can just put one ad in the newspaper anywhere in the world and there will be 10 million highly skilled NEW people they can bring. They do not need you (us). It is important to remember that we are not doing anyone a favor by being here except yourselves.
